We need Hope Center

Re: "An evangelical edifice – $46 million Hope Center will house multiple ministries," Tuesday Metro.

Thank you, June Hunt, for choosing Plano as the site for your Hope Center. The evangelical ministries that will be officed there are sure to benefit our community and all of North Texas. Hope is one thing we need more of in this area.

Half price golf fair

There needs to some kind of law about disclosing the condition of a golf course when you make a tee time. They want a credit card number so they can bill you if you do not show up. You get there, and they happily charge you the full amount of a green fee, only to get to the first green to find out they have been punched and sanded, and are in terrible shape.

If they would just say: Sir, our green fees are half price until they get in better shape. Let me make the decision to play or not.

Mickey Morrison, Frisco

Tucker David for McKinney council

Sherry Tucker David is about the children of McKinney. Sherry co-founded Cross Timbers Youth Orchestra, which brought violins, violas, and other string instruments into McKinney schools – everyone knows that. She played an important role in founding the McKinney Youth Leadership program. She served on Citizens Education MISD.

She is dedicated to improving our libraries. She understands that among the most important driving functions of McKinney's growth are our schools and the opportunities that we afford our youth.

Sherry was one of the most influential people in founding the McKinney Arts Commission. She understands what it will take to maintain and even improve that uniqueness that unites us all.

Robert and Jody Nelsen, McKinney

Herald for

Allen council

As a supporter of a healthy environment and wisely using our natural resources, I appreciate Joey Herald's views on water conservation and transportation solutions in Allen. We need to be more aggressive in these areas, and I believe Joey is the right person for that role.

Paul Konrad, Allen
