TAMS students heading to national science bowl

Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science recently earned a spot to compete against 66 teams from all over America in the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl, May 1-6 in Washington, D.C.

The team includes students Korok Chatterjee, Vinay Ramasesh, Arjun Kavi, Amber Crosson and Irene Cai. The coach is Roy Zumwalt.

Each of the 67 participating teams — representing 42 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico — emerged from a regional competition to earn an all-expenses-paid trip to compete. For more information, visit www.nationalsciencebowl.energy.gov  .
