Commencement ceremonies include students from TWU’s Denton, Dallas and Houston campuses.
Approximately 802 undergraduate and 669 graduate degrees will be awarded during the three ceremonies.
Students and family members who have tickets are invited to attend. The ceremonies will take place in the Kitty Magee Arena in Pioneer Hall on Bell Avenue. Receptions hosted by TWU
Chancellor Ann Stuart will follow each ceremony on the second floor of the Student Union, located on the southwest corner of Bell Avenue and Administration Drive.
The 9 a.m. ceremony is for candidates in the College of Professional Education and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. State

The noon ceremony is for the College of Nursing and the College of Health Sciences (minus the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders).
State Rep. Tan Parker of Flower Mound (District 63) is the speaker for the ceremony.
The 3 p.m. ceremony is for the College of Arts and Sciences. Eva Poole, director of libraries for the city of Denton and a TWU alumna, will deliver the commencement address. Stuart will preside at each ceremony.
The 3 p.m. ceremony also will feature the awarding of an honorary doctoral degree in dance to Ann Williams, founding artistic director of the Dallas Black Dance Theatre.
McCullar named 2008 G. Ann Uhlir Fellow
Kelly McCullar, associate vice president and controller for Texas Woman’s University, has been named the 2008 G. Ann Uhlir Fellow in Higher Education Administration.
He is the first staff member to win the award, which is available to TWU faculty, staff and graduate students.
McCullar will use his fellowship to attend the Western Association of College and University Business Officers’ Executive Leadership and Management Institute scheduled Aug. 1-8 at Stanford University.
The primary goals of the institute are increasing the self-awareness of administrators as leaders; improving skills in strategic thinking and effective action; and establishing an enduring network for support and commitment to continuing professional development.
The Dr. G. Ann Uhlir Endowed Fellowship for Higher Education Administration is designed to take beginning administrators, faculty or students interested in administration and help them develop the leadership, management and interpersonal skills needed to be a highly qualified and successful academic administrator.
The late Dr. Ann Uhlir, founding dean of the TWU College of Health Sciences, provided initial funding for the fellowship in 1996.
