‘Music from Mount Vernon’ comes to UNT
Steven Harlos of the University of North Texas College of Music and other guests will present “Music From Mount Vernon,” a faculty chamber recital. The free performance will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, in the Concert Hall at the UNT Music Building, at the southeast corner of Avenue C and Chestnut Street.
Featured performers are Carol Harlos, a freelance cellist who performs with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; Harlos, a music professor and staff keyboardist for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra; Mark Miller, concertmaster of the East Texas Symphony Orchestra, who performs with the Fort Worth Symphony and Dallas Opera orchestras; and Ute Miller, principal violist of the East Texas Symphony, who plays with the Fort Worth and Dallas symphony orchestras.
The Mount Vernon Music Association, a nonprofit organization, dedicates itself to bringing live music to Northeast Texas, including nursing homes and public schools. For more information, visit www.mountvernonmusic.org .
