Grace Steinel of Denton has been selected to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark.

Austin Trantham of Argyle, Meredith Gross and Bryan Reed of Denton, and Tim Baca and Anna Shields of Highland Village were named to the dean’s list at Austin College in Sherman for the spring semester. To qualify, they earned a grade-point average of at least 3.767 and were ranked in the top 20 percent of the student body.

Jacquelyn Locke of Denton received a general studies degree during commencement ceremonies at West Texas A&M University on May 10.

Melinda Richmond of Denton received the spring Mathematics Award for Outstanding Sophomore at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.

Virginia Gentry Leavell was named to the president’s list at Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., for the spring semester. To qualify, she maintained a 4.0 grade-point average while attending a full-time semester. Steven R. Ashley of Justin was named to the dean’s list at the college. To qualify, he maintained at least a 3.5 GPA while attending a full-time semester.
