Sarah Elizabeth Burden of Denton was recently initiated into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, Okla.

The national scholastic honor society recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first-year full-time students. To qualify, she earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Kristen Priddy of Denton earned academic honor at Oklahoma Christian University for the fall 2007 semester. Priddy, a sophomore art and design major, was named to the honor roll, having earned a grade-point average of 3.4 or more for the semester.
