Teachers selected to score AP exams
Denton High School Spanish teacher Don Place and Guyer High Spanish teacher Oscar Salas were selected to score the oral portion of the College Board’s Advanced Placement Spanish language exam.
According to the AP program, teachers selected for this honor are among the top high school and college educators in the U.S., Canada and abroad. More than 10,000 readers from universities and high schools evaluate about 2.8 million exams in 22 subject areas.
“The reading draws upon the talents of some of the finest teachers and professors that the world has to offer,” Trevor Packer, executive director of the AP program at the College Board, said in a news release. “It fosters professionalism, allows for the exchange of ideas and strengthens the commitment to students and to teaching. We are very grateful for the contributions of talented educators like Don Place and Oscar Salas.”
School district offices closed for Fourth of July
