A surge in demand spurred the Denton Public Library to offer basic crocheting classes again this month.
Librarians will teach adult students — whether they learned to crochet a long time ago and need a refresher course or never learned — how to make basic crocheting stitches and read patterns. Participants choose from a spread of patterns: a scarf, a drawstring bag and a teddy bear.
Students can use hooks and yarn provided by the library, but attendees are welcome to bring their own supplies, too.
The class is an extension of the library’s new crafting Thursdays.
