FUTURE BOOKINGS

 

July 15 — Extended deadline to register for the University of North Texas mariachi camp until July 15. Bilingual instructors are available. The camp is open to intermediate- and advanced-level mariachi players in sixth through 12th grade. Students participating will have the opportunity to improve their musical skills at singing or playing the trumpet, violin, guitar, vihuela or guitarrón, while also building relationships with UNT, its students and other mariachis. The camp is July 28 to August 1 at UNT’s Music Building, located at the SE corner of Ave. C and Chestnut St., and UNT’s University Union, located one block west of Welch and West Prairie streets. Students will stay in Bruce Hall adjacent to the Music Building. Registration is $150. A limited number of scholarships are available if financial need can be demonstrated.
