The Denton Parks and Recreation Department ends its free summer Movies in the Park series tonight with The Longshots at 8 p.m. in Quakertown Park, 321 E. McKinney St. Themovie rolls on a giant screen at 9 p.m. A marshmallow roast and arts and crafts start at 8 p.m. Tonight, families can watch as Ice Cube and Keke Palmer star as Curtis and Jasmine Plummer, a real-life father and daughter who worked for Jasmine to become the first girl in the Pop Warner football tournament’s 56-year history. Rated PG, 94 minutes.
