Pearl to speak on tolerance at UNT

Judea Pearl, father of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, will speak Monday at UNT as part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days.

Judea Pearl, father of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, will speak Monday in Denton. His lecture is part of an event concluding the University of North Texas’ October participation in Daniel Pearl World Music Days, a global concert series that promotes tolerance.

The journalist was kidnapped and killed in Pakistan in 2002. Daniel Pearl World Music Days was started that same year by the Daniel Pearl Foundation, a California-based nonprofit organization. Since that time, more than 60 countries have participated.
