Consider the ‘Possibili-Tree’ at the Aubrey Area Library

The unveiling of Aubrey Area Library’s mural, The Possibili-Tree, took place at a public reception at the library Jan. 14.

Artist Linka Behn organized the collage’s creation, made of recycled magazines, paper and artist’s glaze.

The mural takes up a full wall of the program room and took more than two months to complete.

“Different groups — City Council members, a seniors group, home-schoolers, after-school kids, day care, a craft club, individuals and families — came in for five to 10 minutes at a time to add their part,” says Kathy Gilson, the library’s director.

“Every member of the community had the opportunity to become an artist.”

The Aubrey Area Library, located at 226 Countryside Drive, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The library is closed Sunday and Monday.

Make sure "InPrivate Filtering data" is checked
Click the "Delete" button.
Click the "OK" button to exit the internet options window.
Refresh the page
