Library announces top writers in contest

The Denton Public Library recently announced winners of its creative writing contest, which included poetry, essay and short story categories.
Teen poetry winners are Amie Lanthrop, Caitlyn Vann and Ivey Barr; teen personal essay winners are Devon Cooper, Patrick Yoo and Jessica Collins; and teen short story winners are Krista Sitton, Hayley Nisbet and Emily Ray.
Adult poetry winners are Karona Drummond, Renee Lyons and Jan Spence; adult personal essay winners are Samika Swift, Kelli Huber and Laurie Forsyth; and adult short story winners are Dylan Kieger, Nancy Scott and Rhonda Wood.
