07:24 AM CST on Tuesday, November 3, 2009
Weston Cooper and Clint Lucas were honored with an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Oct. 25.
The Guyer High School graduates, both 18, are members of Scout Troop 164.
To become an Eagle Scout, each youth earned 21 merit badges and served in a variety of leadership positions within his troop.
Each also oversaw the completion of a community service project.
Cooper’s project benefited SpiritHorse Therapeutic Riding Center in Corinth and included building a large helmet cabinet, tiling the bathroom floor and adding industrial shelving to the storage room.
Lucas worked with Christian Community Action in Lewisville. His project involved acquiring, assembling and donating 250 bicycles to less-fortunate children.
Cooper is the son of Clifton and Eadie Cooper of Denton, and Lucas is the son of Tim and Jill Lucas of Corinth.
The young men attend North Central Texas College in Corinth.
