Blotter: Mom calls police on nude 15-year-old

08:49 AM CST on Thursday, January 8, 2009

By Donna Fielder / Staff Writer

A woman found a naked 15-year-old girl in the closet of her 16-year-old son’s bedroom, she told police Tuesday morning.

The woman said she demanded an explanation. The girl said she ran away from home Sunday and had been staying with different people. She said the woman’s son sneaked her into the house about 3 a.m.

The girl explained that she was naked because it was hot in the room so she decided to sleep without clothing.

The officer issued a criminal trespass citation to the girl and called her mother, who came to take her home.

Other reports

1800 block of Ruddell Street — A woman reported Tuesday that she moved from Denton to Galveston in mid-October. Someone apparently took her library card about that time, she said.

She has been receiving letters from the city library that several books have been checked out using her card and not returned. She owes $176 on the delinquent items, according to the police report.

2300 block of West Oak Street — A new business owner reported Tuesday that someone dumped a large couch and other debris in his business trash receptacle. He found written materials that suggest the culprit was a former tenant of a nearby business.
