07:25 AM CDT on Monday, March 24, 2008

A man told Denton police that someone smashed out his two passenger-side windows and damaged his windshield with a hammer while stopped on the street.

The man reported that another vehicle pulled up beside him, and the passenger got out with a hammer and shattered his two windows.

The man couldn’t provide a license plate number or description of the suspect to police, and he was eventually arrested on a warrant, the report said.

Other reports

1100 block of Avenue B — An 18-year-old woman found holes from a roommate’s room to the shower she used while she was looking for damage, a Denton police report said.

The woman was checking for damage when she found two holes that peered into the bathroom and pointed at the shower.

The woman asked her male roommate about them and he said he didn’t know anything about them, according to the report.

2600 block of South Mayhill Road — A 12-year-old boy who was upset after being beaten up last week hit an 11-year-old in the face with a pipe, a Denton police report said.

The 11-year-old was walking through a trailer park when he saw the 12-year-old boy and without being provoked, the boy threw a pipe that struck the 11-year-old in the face, the report said.

The 11-year-old admitted that he and another boy beat up the 12-year-old a week before.

The mother of the 12-year-old said she did not press charges because the two boys said they wouldn’t play with one another anymore.

The boys had been friends, the mother said.

700 block of Fort Worth Drive — Two men robbed a fast-food restaurant Sunday morning and made off with more than $2,000 before police arrived, a Denton police report said.

One man walked into the lobby and walked to the bathroom, causing an employee to check on him, the report said.

When she walked down the hallway, the man pulled out a gun and demanded money.

He also said there was another man at the drive-through window, and he told the woman not to sound the alarm, the report said.

The woman gave the man the money, and the pair made off in a blue two-door vehicle, the report said.

The employee told police that she thought they might be former employees because they knew where the alarm was.
