Blotter: Police: UNT student threatened by another

A University of North Texas student accused one of her sorority sisters of threatening her life and attempting to hit her with a car, a Denton police report said.
The 20-year-old student said the threats have been going on since February, and they culminated this week when her sorority sister tried to hit her with her car, the report said.
Her sorority sister swerved out of her lane and attempted to hit the student as she walked down the street, the report said. The woman was not injured in the incident.
The sorority sister has a history of drinking and violent behavior, the report said.

1500 block of Buena Vista Drive — An 8-year-old boy reported to police Friday that his mother hit him in the hands and head with a hairbrush and then kicked him in the chest. The woman was arrested and charged with injury to a child, the report said.
The child was not seriously injured in the incident.
300 block of West Eagle Drive — A 22-year-old man spit on a police officer who was attempting to subdue him inside the city jail, a police report said.
The man was picked up on public intoxication charges, and when police began to search him, he resisted them until he was pepper-sprayed, the report said. Officers then were able to get him down and restrain him with handcuffs.
When the officer picked him up, the man spit on the officer, the report said.
