Blotter: Police seek woman accused of assaulting 2
08:30 AM CDT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009
Denton police are looking for a woman who is accused of assaulting two sisters Sunday night.
The first sister said a group of people were fighting in the 1100 block of East McKinney Street about 9:15 p.m. Two men were fighting each other and a woman was harassing several people and trying to fight them, according to the report.
The victim said she asked the woman not to fight one of the females there. The woman took a beer bottle out of the victim’s hand and hit her in the head with it, the victim said.
The victim said she left and found her sister and told her what happened. Her sister went looking for the woman to confront her, she said, and found her in the 400 block of South Bradshaw Street.
The two argued, and then the woman pulled out a box knife and cut the first victim’s sister on the abdomen, according to the report.
Neither victim was seriously injured. Both were treated at a hospital emergency room.
Officers responded to the area where the fights took place. Several people were still there but no one would give any evidence to the police.
