Blotter: Halloween revelry leads to police calls over weekend
07:21 AM CST on Tuesday, November 3, 2009
A man paid too much attention to another woman at a Halloween party Saturday night, leading to a fight with his wife early Sunday.
According to a police report, the couple attended a costume party across the street from their home. When they returned to their home in the 1500 block of Valley Creek Road, the wife began to complain about his attentions to the other woman.
The argument escalated, and he told police she hit him in the mouth. He said he began to struggle with her to keep from being struck again.
She was sock-footed, he said, and her feet slid out from under her, causing her to hit her head and lose consciousness. He called for an ambulance because of the egg-sized knot on her head.
She said she was angry and decided to sleep in her child’s room. He wanted her to sleep in their bedroom, she said, and pushed her down.
The officer made no arrests.
