County Republicans give three scholarships

The Denton County Republican Party recently announced three scholarship recipients for 2007. Three young Denton County residents each received a $500 scholarship from the Denton County Republican Party. This year’s winners are James B. Holland of Denton, Hallie M. Inge of Argyle and Victor J. Benavides of Flower Mound.
Holland is a December 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in political science. He has been politically involved in his community, volunteering for campaigns and interning for Rep. Michael Burgess. He plans to attend Texas Wesleyan College School of Law.
Inge graduated from Guyer High School in May. She was nominated to represent Guyer in Burgess’ Congressional Youth Advisory Council 2007. She was also selected as a Texas representative at the 42nd Texas Government Action Tour of Washington, D.C., sponsored by Co-Serv Electric. She plans to attend the University of North Texas.
Benavides graduated from Flower Mound High School in May and plans to attend Rice University.
