16-year-old receives Eagle Scout Award

Travis D. Martin, 16, of Denton was presented his Eagle Scout Award on Scout Sunday, Feb. 8.
For his Leadership Service Project, Travis designed and coordinated the construction and installation of the Vanishing Prairie Nature Trail markers at the Johnson Branch Unit on Lake Ray Roberts.
Travis is a member of Troop 361, Venture Crew 199, Order of the Arrow, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps and the Denton High School baseball team.
He is the son of Brett and Belinda Martin.
Brett Martin also is an Eagle Scout, and Belinda Martin and Travis’ sister, Stephanie, have obtained the Gold Award in Girl Scouts.
