Early voting starts

Early voting begins today and continues through Oct. 31 for national, state and local races. Denton County voters may cast their ballots at any of 14 early voting locations. Election Day is Nov. 4, when voters must vote at their precinct’s designated polling site.

 

Early voting starts today. Voters registered in Denton County may vote at any of the following locations. Election Day is Nov. 4. For more information, visit www.dentoncounty.com.

The following locations offer early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 27-31:


• Steven Everett Copeland Government Center, 1400 FM424 in Cross Roads


• Roanoke Community Center, 312 S. Walnut St.


• Joseph A. Carroll Building, 410 W. Hickory St. in Denton


• Fair Hall at North Texas State Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd. in Denton


• Justin Municipal Building, 415 N. College St.


• Highland Village Municipal Complex, 1000 Highland Village Road

• Early voting at Friendship Baptist Church, 4396 Main St. in The Colony, is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Tuesday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednes­day; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 27-28; 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 29; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 30-31.

• Early voting at Trophy Club Muni­cipal Utility District, 100 Municipal Drive, is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 28-31.

Denton County special bond election
Bond Proposition 1: For or against the issuance of $310 million in general obligation bonds for constructing, improving and maintaining roads and bridges in Denton County and the tax necessary to pay those bonds.

Bond Proposition 2: For or against the issuance of $185 million in general obligation bonds for constructing, improving and equipping existing county buildings and facilities including county government centers, service centers, county administration facilities, probation, detention and law enforcement facilities and related technology and the tax necessary to pay those bonds.

Hickory Creek sales tax
For or against an additional 1/4 percent town sales tax in order to reduce the property tax rate.
