Library program offers online homework help

08:29 AM CST on Thursday, December 6, 2007

A new Denton Public Library program allows students in grades four through 12 and in introductory-level college courses to receive free online tutoring.

Students with a library card can visit www.cityofdenton.com/pages/library.cfm  for “Live Homework Help,” an online tutoring service from Tutor.com that connects students to expert tutors in math, science, social studies and English at no charge.

Spanish-speaking tutors are available to help students with math and science. Online tutoring hours are 3 to 10 p.m. every day; Spanish-speaking tutors are available from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

All tutors are certified teachers, college professors, professional tutors and graduate and undergraduate school students from across the country.

For more information, call 940-349-8752.
