Library to show four films Saturday

Four films based on fantasy/ fairy tales will be shown on Saturday at the North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. in Denton.
All showings are free, and no tickets are required.
Scheduled are: The Little Match Girl, 10 a.m.; The Muppet Christmas Carol, 10:15 a.m.; Enchanted, 1 p.m.; and The Wizard of Oz, 4 p.m.

The screenings are part of the Denton Reads program in preparation for a talk by visiting author Gregory Maguire.
Maguire is scheduled to discuss his latest work, Matchless — a re-imagination of the Hans Christian Andersen classic The Little Match Girl — during the annual Denton Reads lecture at 6 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the auditorium of the Texas Woman’s University Multipurpose Classroom Lab Building off Bell Avenue.
The lecture is free, but advance tickets are required.
