Army Pfc. Preston T. Balluck, son of Joyce Balluck of Corinth and brother of Terry Balluck of Dallas, recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
Balluck is a 2002 graduate of Lake Dallas High School.

Marc D. Fryt, son of Mitch and Andrea Fryt of Highland Village, recently completed and graduated from the 10-day Air Assault School held at Camp Smith, N.Y. Fryt attends the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., as a member of the Class of 2011.
He is a 2007 graduate of Marcus High School.
