Patient reports sexual assault
Victim says one of her other personalities was in control in incident12:04 AM CDT on Saturday, March 29, 2008
A patient in a Denton mental health hospital told police that she was sexually assaulted by another patient Wednesday.
The woman said the man had come into her room flirting with her several times and she had rebuffed him. He came in Wednesday about 8 p.m., she said, and sexually assaulted her in her bed.
The woman said she is in the hospital because she has 28 personalities. One of her other personalities was in charge at the time of the assault, she said, and she is not sure what happened. Her personality returned in time to see the man leaving.
Officers who tried to investigate the complaint learned that the man had been taken to Wichita Falls. Hospital officials would not release his name or any details about him to the officers, citing federal privacy laws.
