Blotter: Woman reports struggle with mother’s date

08:23 AM CDT on Friday, September 5, 2008

By Donna Fielder / Staff Writer

A woman reported to police early Monday that her former boyfriend assaulted her when she confronted him about dating her mother.

The woman said she learned about the relationship and was angry. She saw them together in a vehicle in a parking lot, pulled in beside them and confronted the former boyfriend. She called her mother a “slut,” according to the report, and her mother told her she should respect her and not call her names.

The pair left, but the woman returned later and again saw them in the parking lot, this time in separate vehicles. She again confronted him, she said.

Her mother tried to drive away, but she stood behind the car to prevent it. The boyfriend got inside his vehicle and she jumped in the door on top of him to prevent his leaving, she said.

She said the boyfriend bent her car key and injured her in the struggle, according to the report.

Other reports

200 block of West Mulberry Street —A woman reported Wednesday that four charges had been made on her credit card without her knowledge. She still has the card, she said, and doesn’t know how anyone got the number.

A detective checked and learned the charges were made on a computer in Africa. Two of the businesses had rejected the orders because they appeared to be fraudulent, according to the report. It appeared the credit card number had been generated by a random-number computer to obtain the number.

500 block of Cortez Street, Krugerville — A man complained to Denton County sheriff’s deputies that his neighbors have been stealing his wireless computer access.

The man said he has seen the neighbors up on their roofs several times with their computers and has photographed them.

They back their car halfway out of the garage to give them a way to climb to the roof, he said. Then they use their laptops while sitting on the roof.

2900 block of Oakshire Street — A man reported Wednesday that he received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service asking for $600 in back taxes for a job he worked in 2007. The letter said the work was done at a restaurant, but the man did not know the location. The man said he did not work at a restaurant and believes someone used his Social Security number.
