10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — The Denton High School Orchestra will host a car wash fundraiser at the Firestone Tire & Auto Center at 502 W. University Drive. The group will take donations. Proceeds from the car wash will benefit the orchestra’s 2010 spring performance tour.

12:30 to 2 p.m. — Small Talk at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St., lets participants practice English in a small-group setting. Call 940-349-8752.

1 to 3 p.m. — Second Saturdays, a Denton Community Theatre outreach program for adults interested in all aspects of the theater. All programs are free and take place at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory St. Helen Dewey Reikofski will lead a master class/workshop on “Prepare for Power: Speaking and Singing in Public.” Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. 6 to 9 p.m. — Ponder ISD will host its annual Fall Festival on district grounds on West Bailey Street. Festival activities include more than 30 booths, silent and live auctions, raffles and entertainment by school choirs and the high school marching band. 7 p.m. — The Texas Dance Improvisation Festival 2009 will have a public performance in the Dance Building at Texas Woman’s University, 304 Administration Drive. There will be a performance with K.J.   • Click the "Delete" button.
