TWU, UNT students graduate today

More than 4,100 students are graduating this month from Texas Woman’s University, the University of North Texas and North Central Texas College.

TWU’s and UNT’s commencement ceremonies continue today. UNT awarded 478 master’s and 59 doctoral degrees Friday.

A total of 2,256 undergraduates at UNT will receive their degrees today.

TWU’s ceremony in Denton includes graduate candidates from the university’s Dallas Center, with about 1,100 degrees to be awarded at today’s ceremonies.

NCTC held its commencement ceremonies in Gainesville last week, with 294 graduates.

UNT’s undergraduate ceremonies will be held today at the Coliseum, on Highland Street:

* 9 a.m. — College of Arts and Sciences

* 1 p.m. — College of Engineering, College of Information, College of Business, College of Visual Arts and Design, School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management, College of Music, and Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism

* 5 p.m. — College of Education and College of Public Affairs and Community Service

TWU’s commencement ceremonies will be held today at Kitty Magee Arena in Pioneer Hall, on Bell Avenue:

* 9 a.m. — College of Arts and Sciences

* Noon — General Studies, College of Health Sciences and the School of Library and Information Studies

* 3 p.m. — College of Nursing and the College of Professional Education

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, make sure Phishing Filter is turned off by going to Tools / Phishing Filter / Turn Off Automatic Website Checking.
If you are using Internet Explorer 8, make sure InPrivate Filtering is turned off and InPrivate Filtering data has been cleared. To turn off InPrivate Filtering go to Tools / InPrivate Filtering Settings, select the "off" button and click "OK".
To clear InPrivate Filtering data
  • Go to Tools / Internet Options
  • Click on the "Delete" button in the center of the General tab.
  • Make sure "Preserve Favorites website data" is unchecked.
  • Make sure "InPrivate Filtering data" is checked
  • Click the "Delete" button.
  • Click the "OK" button to exit the internet options window.
  • Refresh the page
