By Donna Fielder / Staff Writer12:09 AM CST on Saturday, December 20, 2008
Denton police are looking for a man who robbed First United Bank Friday morning.
The man walked into the bank in the 400 block of West University Drive about 9 a.m. Police Lt. Lee Creamer said the man entered the bank from an east door and walked up to a teller. He handed the teller a typewritten note that demanded money from the cash drawer and from the drive-through cash drawer.
The lieutenant said the man did not show a gun.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man turned and walked back out the same door he entered. He was last seen walking east on foot.
The suspect was described as a black man with a mustache and a beard that had some gray in them. A khaki cap with a bill covered his head, and he wore sunglasses.
He wore a gray jacket with a hood and a distinctive black, diamond-shaped design on the back. He wore very baggy pants, according to Creamer.
