12:19 AM CST on Saturday, February 14, 2009

DRC/Barron Ludlum
A model twirls the long, flowy skirt of a dress made for the Go Red for Women luncheon and style show on Friday. The event, which showcased dresses designed by students from the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University, was held at the UNT Gateway Center ballroom. Ticket proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. UNT alumna Debbie Denmon of WFAA-TV (Channel 8) served as emcee for the event, which promotes awareness of women’s battles with heart disease and stroke.
