Arlene Guthrie

Arlene Guthrie has gone to be with our Lord and into the arms of her loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents Frances and Almer Anderson, brothers Lowell and Robert Anderson and her son Jack Earl Guthrie.

Survivors include her children, Cindy Laird of Haslet, TX, Rick Guthrie and wife Paulette (Jo) of Willow Park, TX, Sherri Dean and husband Larry of Krugerville, TX, and Ken Guthrie and wife Darla of Pilot Point TX.

Melissa McClung

Melissa McClung, 48, of Denton passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her residence. She was born July 7, 1961, in New Orleans, LA, to William E. McClung and Carolyn Stewart McClung. She was a professor at Texas Woman’s University.

Funeral service will be Sunday, August 30, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Director with Bill Ramsey officiating. Another service will be Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA.

She is survived by her daughter, Bailey Ross of Denton; son, Teague Ross of Denton; mother, Carolyn McClung of Lafayette, LA; sister, Mindy Reed of Lafayette, LA; and brother, William McClung of Jefferson, LA. She is preceded in death by her father, William E. McClung.
