Ola Mae Glass

Ola Mae Glass, 90, of Denton, passed away on Nov. 29, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born July 21, 1919 in McClain, Oklahoma to C. C. and Maggie (Johnston) Marti. She was the daughter of an original enrollee of the Dawes Commission. She was married to Arthur Glass on August 30, 1941 in Davis, Oklahoma; he passed away on Sept. 28, 1999. They moved to Denton in 1969, and were members of the First Baptist Church. They had owned and operated the Goldsmith Drug Store in Electra from 1949 to 1969.

A graveside service will be held per her request at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. for visitation. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Glass is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Beth Mask and husband Connie Mask, of Sanger; sisters, Doris Roberts of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Alvera Walker of Purcell, Oklahoma; sister -in-law, LaVerne Loman, of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Carrie Ann Sisco of Sanger and Douglas Mask of Nacogdoches, TX; great-grandchildren Erin Sisco of Stephenville, TX, Amy Sisco of Sanger, and Wesley Mask, Baleigh Mask, and Riley Mask, all of Nacogdoches, TX.
