Marilyn Egbert

Marilyn Egbert, 88, of Argyle, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009. She was born Aug. 8, 1921 in Upton, CA to Arthur Menefee and Eva Rice Menefee. She graduated Walsh High School in Colorado and was a Clerk at G.T.E. in Irving. 

Marilyn is survived by her step mother, Alta England Menefee; son, Erroll Eugene Egbert of Jackson, TN; daughter-in-law, Marie Egbert of Argyle; half sisters, Carolyn Lancaster, Marsha Lindahl, and Cheryl Menefee; and grandchildren, Jimmy Egbert, Nolan Egbert Jr. and wife Dana, Joel Egbert and wife Tina, Renee Ashcraft and husband David, and Leslie Power and husband Jeff, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Eva Menefee; her husband, Erroll E. Egbert; son, Nolan Trent Egbert; brother, Arthur Menefee Jr. and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the DeBerry Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Wayne Blankenship officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving, TX.

Orbie Ray Linder

Orbie Ray Linder, 79, of Krum passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. He was born Aug. 2, 1930 in Roscoe, TX to Roy and Orbie Mabel Ingram Linder. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Roberta Jean Harrison on Aug. 20, 1954 in Colorado City, TX. He was a linotype operator for Texas Woman’s University and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanger.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be Monday, Dec. 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Jackson Cemetery in Krum.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Linder of Krum; daughter, Jana Giraud and husband Ted of Springs, TX; son Les Linder and wife Anita of Decatur; sisters, Lila Furlow of Duncanville, Linda Henderson of Sanger; brothers, Glenn Linder of Sweetwater, James Linder of Valley View and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the Krum Library.
