June B. Tebbe, 80, of Denton, Texas, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was in her home at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village, surrounded by family when her suffering from cancer and kidney disease finally ended.

June was born December 25, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Ernest and Julia Rimell; it was there that she met and married her high school sweetheart, Les Tebbe, in 1948. June and Les lived in seven cities in five states during their time together on earth.

Her parents and husband all preceded her in death. While raising three children, June managed to complete a bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University. After graduation, she taught second grade in three locations and then ESL to adults in The Woodlands, Texas. She was well-loved by her many students. June loved music and had artistic talent that came out in the many crafts she enjoyed. But most of all, she loved her Lord and she loved people.

June is survived by three daughters: Barbara Erb, wife of John Erb, of Conroe, Texas; Lori Ford, wife of Tim Ford, of Denton, Texas; and Tracey Grappe, wife of Chris Grappe, of Montgomery, Texas; and Katie Hampton, “adopted daughter,” of Denton, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Andy Erb, Jason Ford, Michelle Dawson, Sarah Bagby, Neal Coker and Katie Coker.

There will be a memorial service Friday, June 26 at 2 p.m. in the Denton Bible Church Chapel in Denton, Texas. A second memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27 at 3 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.

Memorial gifts may be made to Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Drive, Denton, TX 76209. These will be used to help various missionaries.
