Lorenzo Elizondo Aguilar
Lorenzo Elizondo Aguilar, 23, has gone to be with the Lord on the 27th day of January 2010. He was born on June 24, 1986 in Dallas, TX to Lillian Elizondo Aguilar. Raised in Mesquite and Denton, TX.
Memorial Services will be held at Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 120 S. Carroll Blvd., Denton, TX 76201, on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 12 p.m. for viewing and 2 p.m. for services.
Survivors include mother, Lillian Elizondo, son Geovanni Serna, step-dad Steve M. Echols, sister Siprina Merino, grandfather Ray Elizondo of California, grandmother Cleo Kingsbury of Brownsville, TX, girlfriend Amanda Cortinas and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We love you and we miss you always.
Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Sherry Lynn Baker Carr
Sherry Lynn Baker Carr, 70, of Justin, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1939 in Fort Worth to Arthur Baker and Nola Ruth Wilkerson. She attended Northwest High School and was a member of the Justin First Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Justin Cemetery.
Sherry is survived by her mother, Nola Goad of Justin. She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Baker, and her brother, David Baker.
Cresencia Jaramillo Castaneda
Cresencia Jaramillo Castaneda, 84, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at a local hospice.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Baptist Temple in Fort Worth. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson, TX.
Survivors include daughters, Yolanda and Rosita Jaramillo, sons, Guillermo and wife, Doris, Candelario and wife, Linda, Jose and wife, Leigh, Rolando, Ricardo and wife, Cynthia, Rene and wife, Denise Jaramillo, 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Frank Cawthon
Frank Cawthon passed away peacefully on January 28, 2010. He was born January 14, 1928, to Frank and Pauline White Cawthon and grew up in Dallas with his sister, Evelyn. He graduated from Highland Park High School and attended SMU, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. On September 6, 1950, he married Nancy Jeanne Sloan at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. They raised their three children in Denton, CO and Madison, WI before returning to Texas in 1966 to make their home in Denton.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 2 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Oak St., Denton.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Nancy Sloan Canton, daughter-in-law, Carolyn and Sennett Kirk, son Alan Canton, son and daughter-in-law Stuart and Jan Canton, and Sharon Appleton, grandchildren Cassie Freeman, Lindy and Melina Kirk, Jenny and Joanna Canton and Clare, Caroline and Bennett Canton, four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Sloan, Sydney and Caroline. He also leaves his nephews, the four Penn boys and his nieces, the three Hill girls.
Above all, he loved his wife, he loved his family, he loved his friends, and he loved life.

Dr. David Cle Coleman
Dr. David Cle Coleman, DVM, 71, of Hunt, Texas passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 in San Antonio after a brief illness.
Dr. Coleman was born September 19, 1938 in Lamesa, TX to Dr. William and Jetta Coleman. He was raised in Vernon, TX, where he graduated from High School in 1957. Growing up, he was active in athletics, rodeo, and farming. He graduated from Texas A&M University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1963. He served as a Captain in the United States Army in Virginia from 1963-65. He practiced Veterinary Medicine in several cities in Texas including Abilene, Lubbock, Denton, Pilot Point, Amarillo, Alpine, Sulphur Springs and Kerrville for 45 years.
Dr. Coleman loved the Lord, his family, being outdoors, team roping and hunting.
Dr. Coleman was very active in Fellowship of the Sword Christian Ministries in his later years.
Dr. Coleman is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pamela Coleman. He is also survived by sons Kern Coleman of Ft. Worth, and Mac Coleman of Hunt, daughters Catherine Sharpe and Laura Seifert of Friendswood, Shannon Reid of Pilot Point, and Shelley Fincher of Amarillo. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren. Survivors also include brothers Dr. Rogers Coleman, MD of Granbury and William Coleman of Kemp, as well as his sister Patty Kincheloe of Vernon. He is also survived by former wife Karlynn Sharpe of League City, formerly of Denton.
A memorial service will be held at Rio Ranchito, 12 miles west of Hunt on FM 1340, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2 pm.

Maddie Renee Longoria
Maddie Renee Longoria entered into God’s care on Thursday, January 28, 2010. She was born to John Matthew Longoria and Wendy Lynn Collett-Longoria, and a little sister to Brittany.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, TX with Rev. Joe Mayo officiating.
Maddie is survived by her parents, John and Wendy Longoria; sister, Brittany Dolgener; grandparents, Juan and Glenda Longoria of Corinth, and Jackie and Becky Collett of Corinth; great-grandparents, JC and Neva Collett of Hickory Creek, Mildred Smith of Bryan, and Sanjuanita Longoria of Fort worth; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lance Longoria.
Charles Joe Lowry
Charles Joe Lowry, 67, of Denton, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was born in Oklahoma City on March 20, 1942 to Charles Earl Lowry and Vertie Chesstina Brown. He was a HM3 (E-4) in the U.S. Navy. He married Dawn Cameron Flynn and was a radiology technologist.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 from 10-11 a.m. the service will follow at 11 a.m. in the DeBerry Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Little Elm Cemetery.
Charles is survived by his wife Dawn Cameron Lowry; son, Charles Matthew Lowry; brother, Edward Lawrence Lowry of Murfreesboro, TN; step daughters, Sheri Rogers of Wurtsboro, NY, and Luanne Monti of Shady Shores, TX; and step sons, Michael Monti of Bakersfield, CA, and Tony Monti of Middletown, NY. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lowry and Verti Lowry Russell; brothers, James Thomas Lowry and Arthur Ray Lowry; and stepfather, Jack Orlie Russell.
Jerry Wayne Thomas
Jerry Wayne Thomas, 50, of Krum, TX went to be with the Lord January 28, 2010. He was born on April 29, 1959, to B.J. Thomas and May Pearl Kellum Thomas in Fort Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, May Pearl Thomas, and his nephew, Herman Thomas.
Jerry was employed by the state of Texas for the past 28 years. At the time of his death, he was employed by Denton State Supported Living Center as Building Coordinator, and also worked part time for Innovative Outcomes in Denton.
He is survived by his wife, Deana; his father, Reverend B.J. Thomas and wife A.B. Thomas. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kimani Thomas, Rashaun Campbell, and Randall Thomas; stepchildren, Carlton Carter and wife Heather, and Hillary Whitley and husband Clayton. He was a great Pop’s to 4 grandchildren, Hailee, Savannah, Gauge, and Lane, whom Jerry loved so very much. Other surviving family members include: two brothers, Billy Earl Thomas and Duane Thomas; three sisters, Linda Knight, Carla Thomas, and Nickesha Brown; and many loving extended family members.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Christ the Great Shepherd Church in Sanger with Rev. Dewey Lang and Rev. Joe McCutchen officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, TX.
Charles Arthur Withers
Charles Arthur Withers, 58 of Justin passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born on December 18, 1951 in El Paso, TX to Clarence and Pauline (Drucilla) Withers.
A memorial service will be held a later date.
He is survived by his son, Craig and wife Sheila Withers of Justin; brother, Rocky Withers of Highland Village; sister, Beverly McCune of San Antonio; and four grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Lucas Funeral Home in Justin, TX.
