Cornelius J. “Neil” Warren

Neil Warren, 70, of Krum, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.  He was born June 29, 1939 in St. Louis, MO, to Cornelius J. Warren Sr. and Helen V. Ottens.  He graduated from Coyle High school and Orlando College, married Mary Jo Carr in Webster Groves, MO in 1967, and loved to play golf and also play with his 4 grandsons.  He retired as an Engineer manager at Varo, Inc. in 1990.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S. Locust St., in Cole Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be made to Camp Summit Inc. (a camp for children with disabilities), 17210 Campbell Road, Suite 180–W, Dallas, TX 75252 in honor of his grandson, Kyle Warren Hughes.

Neil is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Warren of Krum; daughters, Beth Warren Hughes and husband Jerry of Denton, and Amy Catherine Blakney and husband Bryan of Krum; sisters, Marilyn Stemmermann of Herman, MO, Chiara Shanika and husband Gregory of Venice, Fl, and Pat Sulze and husband Larry of Crestwood, MO; brother, Michael Warren and wife Jane of Pittsburg, MO; grandsons, Kyle and Conner Hughes, and Noble and Reid Blakney; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, as well as many beloved relatives and friends in Paragould, AR.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Helen Warren; infant son, John Robert Warren; brother-in-law, Don Stemmermann; and nephew Andrew Warren.
