Ruby Fae Brown
Ruby Fae Brown, 85, Willis, OK passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Integris Hospital in Madill, OK. She was born July 21, 1924 in Prosper, TX to Steve S. and Carrie Gertrude (Mack) Norman. She was married to the late Ray Brown who passed away on February 11, 2010. She was a homemaker, and attended public schools. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxillary of the V.F.W. Post.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16,2010 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton with Rev. Buddy Ownes, officiating. Burial will follow in the McCurley Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday, March 15, 2010 for visitation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Martin Shaw, Brad Hines, Robert Baker, Jim Norman, Jeff Norman, and Robert Hicks.
Mrs. Brown is survived by daughters, Joyce Ilten, of Euless, Linda Shaw, of Georgetown, Lanetta Reid, of Little Elm, step-daughters, Nona Ruth Lee, of Hubbell, NE and Virginia Kepley, of LaQuinta, CA, son, Ed Terry, of Denton, step-sons, Larry Brown, of Willis, OK and Gary Brown, of Shady Shores, brothers, J. H. “Doodle” Norman, of Denton, and Steve Norman, Jr. of Conroe, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Madelyn Ingram Green
A Memorial "Celebration of the Life of Madelyn Ingram Green" service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church in Denton on Saturday, March 20 at 2 pm.
The church is located at 117 Hercules, which is south of Loop 288 on FM 2164 (North Locust Street). A visitation with the family will be held after the service at the Church.
Jacob Reid Hildebrand
Jacob Reid Hildebrand was born March 8, 2010, into the loving arms of his parents, Stephen and Holly Hildebrand and was loved and embraced for 19 minutes before he was welcomed by his brother and sister into God’s presence.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11 am at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Denton. James Reid will officiate.
Survivors include his parents, Stephen and Holly of Argyle; brother, Jackson; paternal grandparents, G. W. Hildebrand, and Judy Winslow; maternal grandparents, Bob Haley and Brenda Haley; uncles, Jeff Hildebrand, and Brian Haley; and numerous other family members.
Oh how sweet little Jacob lived his life here among us. How precious to spend your life in this world where only the unconditional love of his father and the adorning love of his mother is all he ever knew in this fallen place. How awesome it must be to know no sin, to fear no evil, but yet now rest in the arms of our Savior. Thank you, Jacob Reid Hildebrand for blessing us this day. Thank you for showing mommy and daddy the perfect love the Father has for us in Christ Jesus.
Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
O. D. “Bud” Smith
O. D. “Bud” Smith, 83, of Ponder passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, at his residence. He was born September 11, 1926, in Stony, TX to George and Winnie Bell Coulter Smith. He married Juanell Howard on November 11, 1951. He had retired from Bell Helicopter as a Superintendent in the Blade Department. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He was the Past Master of the Krum Masonic Lodge #1207 and a charter member and Treasurer of the Krum Masonic Lodge #1453.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2010, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Chester Cullum officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor Pope, Bart Pope, Kelly Swafford, Robert Coulter, Joe Norris and Mike McPeek. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Krum Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Juanell Smith of Ponder, daughters, Debra Smith of Irving, son, David Smith of Sanger, sister, Georgia Graber of Denton, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenda Pope.
