Norma Jack Thomas Weldon
Norma Weldon passed from this world Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Mesquite Specialty Hospital.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled funeral services for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3060 Pine Mill Road, Paris, TX. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman, TX.
Norma was born October 5, 1930 to Earl and Hazel Thomas in Kaufman, TX. She attended the Kaufman School System and lived for many years in Lewisville, TX before her retirement from the Allstate Insurance Company in 1990. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and married E.J. Weldon in a Temple Marriage Ceremony at The Salt Lake Temple.
Norma was preceded in death by her loving parents; and her brother, Ernest Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, E.J. Weldon; her daughter, Sharon Lynn Rick and husband, Mike of Paris; Mr. Weldon’s sister, Betsy Jill Fogle of Destin, FL, whom she reared after her parents death; her brother, Earl Thomas of Little Rock, AR; special nieces, Jan Hupfauer of Dallas and Dixie Valentine of Mesquite; four grandchildren, Anthony Rick, Andrew Rick, Amanda Rick and Adam Rick; and Mark Fogle, whom she loved as her grandson.

Thurman Harper
Thurman Harper, born January 18, 1928 in Aubrey, Texas and passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Plano, Texas.
Survived by his wife, Mildred Harper; sons, DeWayne Harper and wife, Angela, and Dennis Harper and wife, Molly; daughter, Teresa Fluitt and husband, Logan; granddaughters, Sarah Vanek and husband, Adam, Amy Harper, Laura Harper; grandsons, Matthew Harper and Bobby Bunch; and brother, Kenneth Harper.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008 at First1 Assembly of God, 1609 14th St., Plano, TX 75074 followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Restland Funeral Home.
J.C. Fenimore
J.C. Fenimore, 78, of Aubrey, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1929 in Dallas to Charlie Ulysses Fenimore and Goldie Lynch Fenimore. He married Marie Newton on August 7, 1948 in Denton. He had retired from the drywall business.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Johnny Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Mark Foster, Terry Foster, Greg McCray, Rodney McCray, Ricky Elzy and Bill Sieber; honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Sieber.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Fenimore of Aubrey; daughters, Kathy Jones of Sanger, Linda McCray of Aubrey, Janice McMichael of Pilot Point, Pamela Skaggs of Gainesville and Elaine Bishop of Denton; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles McIntire.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Denton Regional Medical Center.
Louis Keller Rieves
Louis Keller Rieves, 73, of Denton, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1935 in Ennis, TX to Frank and Margaret Rieves.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Denton State School Chapel. Burial will follow at the Denton State School Cemetery.
He is survived by his sister, Julia and husband, Gerald Weeks of North Richland Hills, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Frank L. Rieves Jr.

Richard Jean Jameson
Richard Jean Jameson, 82, of Sanger passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born February 9, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA to Roy and Nellie Jameson. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Jameson was a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. He married Betty Knapp on May 15, 1970.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Richard Jameson JR. of Anaheim, CA, Mark Jameson of West Valley, UT and David Jameson of Kearns, UT; daughters, Kathleen Insalaco of Anaheim, CA and Clair Jameson of North Hollywood, CA; brother, Neal Jameson of Orange, CA; sister, Patty Kinnie of Mesa, Washington; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Colleen Henry; brothers, Vernon, George, Fred and Earl Jameson; and sisters, Barbara, Helen, Luceil and Dora.
Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Wanna Faye Carpenter
SUNSET — Wanna Faye Carpenter, 82, a longtime Tupperware representative, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Victory Baptist Church in Decatur, with Brother Mark Autry and Brother Willie Jo Haak officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Harp Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Steve Hunt, Steve Cleveland, Willie Lovejoy, David Riddles, Nelson Swaim and Paul Arrington. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Victory Baptist Church and grandsons.
Wanna was born February 12, 1926 in Greenwood to Austin Zach and Ruby (Yar) Burchard. She married Edmond W. Carpenter on October 13, 1942 in Decatur, Texas. They spent most of their married life operating a Grade A dairy. They dedicated their lives ministering and pastoring small churches and founded Victory Baptist Church in 1968.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne Carpenter and wife, Georgia of Alvord and Gary Carpenter and wife, Ruth of Park Springs; ten grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one in the incubator.
Wanna is preceded in death by her husband; parents; baby sister; two infant babies of her own; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coker Hawkins Funeral Home, Decatur, Texas.
Joan Carole Asershon-Wetzel
Joan Carole Asershon-Wetzel, 65, of Sebring, Florida, lost her valiant battle with cancer on Friday, June 13, 2008 in Sebring. She was born January 12, 1943 to Theodore and Mary Virginia Ghesquier Asershon in Cornwall on the Hudson, New York, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2004, coming from Denton, Texas.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Virginia Asershon of Sebring; daughter, Lindsey M. (and Huseyin) Taran Sebring; and son, Steven Ross Wetzel, Dallas, Texas.

Robert N. Holder
Robert N. Holder, 96, went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his beloved Bobbie, on Friday, June 13, 2008, in Denton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert N. Holder, “Papa Tack”, as he was affectionately known by his family, was born March 18, 1912, in McLennan County. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Handley Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW Post 4695.
Survivors include his daughter, Ann Underwood and husband, Hoye of Denton; granddaughters, Lisa May and husband, Matt of Dallas and Melanie Earles and husband, Keith of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Corey Bradford, McKenzie Earles, Keira Earles and Ian May; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eola Ricks
Eola Ricks, 85, of Denton, passed away, Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Denton. She was born April 19, 1923 in Limestone, Clarion, PA. to Robert Thomas Potter and Cora Belle Eaker Potter. Eola is best described as a strong and adventurous career woman and mother.
In her lifetime she was a mother; wife to Dean Robinson; model; ran and owned her own dress shop, ceramics studio, health spa and was a successful life insurance agent. She ran the T Bar E 100 horse ranch with her second husband, Thomas Tudor. After Tom Tudor preceded her in death, she then went on to become a successful Real Estate Agent for Mary C. Gay Realtor. Later she met and married Gerald G. Ricks, who preceded her in death in 1995.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 7 – 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her children, Tom Robinson of Denton, Cliff Tudor of Seabrook, Kathy Tudor Prikryl of Dallas, Sherry Tudor Price of Bartonville, Marshall Ricks of Denton and Murray Ricks of Denton; grandchildren, Scott Robinson, Julie Robinson Evans, Joyce Robinson Winslow, John Robinson, Josh Reynolds, Christi Price, Michael Price and Sara Price; great-grandchildren, DeWayne Starnes, Jason Starnes, Jeremy Evans, Carrie Robinson, Ashli Fregia, Kyle Taylor, Bryce Winlsow; seven great great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert M. Potter of Erie, PA.
