Dee Brewton

At the age of 86, surrounded by her family in a Gainesville, Texas home, Dee Brewton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. A resident of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jack Brewton, and a daughter, Jana Bentley. She is survived by her son, Bob Brewton and his wife, Karen, and their children, David Brewton and Kelly Brewton; her daughter Lyn McKinney and her husband, Keith McKinney; and her son-in-law, Mike Bentley and his daughter, Amy Bentley.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral home Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Hare and Eric Shick.

Dee was born July 26, 1921 in Stephenville, Texas, daughter of Ceaborn Harvey and Mollie Warren Goodwin. She was married to Robert Jackson Brewton in 1942 in Stephenville.

Deloris ‘Sue’ Franklin Crawford

Deloris “Sue” Franklin Crawford, 63, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Denton, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2008 from 7-8 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, in Denton.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Denton, Texas. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Denton, Texas following the funeral service.

Survivors are one adopted son, Shelton “Man” Reed of Dallas; sister Hattie Franklin; and brothers Eddie Franklin, Sr., Charles Franklin, Jimmy Franklin and James Franklin.

 

 

Dr. Eugene W. Hupp

Dr. Eugene W. Hupp, Ph. D., 75, of Denton, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Denton Good Samaritan Village. He was born February 23, 1933 in Bloomfield, Nebraska, to William S. and Alice (Josiassen) Hupp. He was Professor Emeritus of Biology at Texas Woman’s University. He was married to Phyllis Maxine Glover in Freemont, NE on June 22, 1957. He married Marion Barrett on June 8, 1988 in Denton, and she passed away March 3, 1997. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He served the U.S. Navy and was active with the Boy Scouts of America.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Asbury United Methodist Church, 117 Hercules Lane, Denton, TX, with Rev. Rob Price, officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield, NE. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Hupp is survived by daughters Alice Hupp of Denton and Victoria Hupp of Valley View; stepdaughter, Debbie Holt of Decatur; sons Mike Hupp of Valley View and Steve Hupp of Houston; sister, Mary Jo Mellick of Omaha, NE; brother, Duane Hupp of Florence, CO; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Reeves.

Travis Clayton Rosprim

Travis Clayton Rosprim, 20, of Denton, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas from Complications of Diabetes. He was born September 5, 1987 in College Station, TX to Chris Rosprim and Donna B. Chandler. He was a graduate of Denton High School and attended Paris Junior College. He was a member of the High School Choir, and a member of the Argyle United Methodist Church. He was a Student.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Argyle United Methodist Church, 308 Denton Street, Argyle, with Rev. Kory Knott, officiating.

Memorials may be made to Paris Junior College, Memorial Foundation, 2400 Clarksville St. Paris, TX 75460

Travis is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna and Jeff Bauder of Paris; father, Chris Rosprim of Denton; sisters, Lisa White, D.O. of Fort Worth and Megan Rosprim of Denton; grandmothers, Adeline W. Rosprim of Denton and Dorothy Chandler of Longview; niece, Bailey Lane of Paris; aunts and uncles, Bill Chandler of Longview, Mike Chandler of Vacaville, CA and Richard and Theresa Rosprim of Flower Mound; cousins, Laura Spence of Flower Mound, Laura Chandler of Vacaville, CA, Todd and Jenny Wagner of Pacific Palisades, CA, Kyle and Amy Wagner, Los Angeles, CA.
