Mr. Mark Brown
Mr. Mark Brown, 93 of Mineola, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008.
He was born August 13, 1914 in Alba, Texas to John Thomas Brown and Dora Ann, Robinson, Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; John Thomas Brown and Dora Ann Robinson Brown; his wife Gladys Brown and a son, Neil Ray Brown. He was a longtime resident of Golden, Texas. He was a farmer for 20 years and then worked for the Texas Highway Department.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola, Texas with Rev. Merle Parker officiating. Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benny Brown; George Russell, Randy Russell, Bill Galyean, Sr. Wes Brown and Clint Brown.
He is survived by one son; Curtis Brown of Winnsboro, Texas.

Pearl Sullivan Vaughan
VAUGHAN, PEARL SULLIVAN Born February 4, 1908 in Valley View, TX and passed away June 26, 2008 in Dallas, TX. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years in 1955, Berry Vaughan and parents, W.J. and Louisa Bevers Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Vaughan McCombs and husband, David C., 2 granddaughters, Michelle Scarborough and Christi Gibson; great granddaughter, Cari Taylor; great grandsons, Beau and Clint Knearem; great-great grandson, Colton Knearem and beloved sister, friend and companion for over 80 years, Mae Beatrice Sullivan (age 106) and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held 11:00, Monday, June 30, 2008 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
Jimmie Lee Robinson
Aubrey - Jimmie Lee Robinson of Aubrey passed away at his home on June 25, 2008 at the age of 76. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 20, 1932 to Naomi and William Otto Robinson. He enlisted in the Army at the age of seventeen and retired at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1971 after serving twenty-one years, which included both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Following his career in the Army Jimmie had a second career at Victor Equipment Company retiring from Victor after twenty years.
Jimmie met his wife Andree in Paris, France. They were married for fifty-five years. He is remembered as a kind and generous man who loved both friends and family very much. Jimmie is preceded in death by his mother Naomi; his father, William Otto, his stepfather, Coy Lantrip, and his younger brother, Jerry Don Lantrip.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Andree; his daughter Betty Wright of Aubrey and her husband; his sons: Danny Meyer of Granbury and his wife, Larry Robinson of Aubrey and his wife, and Patrick Robinson of Aubrey and his wife. He is also survived by two brothers, Alvin Lantrip of Aubrey and Charles Lantrip of Richland Hills; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, Rock Hill Baptist Church in Aubrey, 3000 Rock Hill Road.

Dr. Eugene W. Hupp
Dr. Eugene W. Hupp, Ph. D., 75, of Denton, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Denton Good Samaritan Village. He was born February 23, 1933 in Bloomfield, Nebraska, to William S. and Alice (Josiassen) Hupp. He was Professor Emeritus of Biology at Texas Woman’s University. He was married to Phyllis Maxine Glover in Freemont, NE on June 22, 1957. He married Marion Barrett on June 8, 1988 in Denton, and she passed away March 3, 1997. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He served the U.S. Navy and was active with the Boy Scouts of America.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Asbury United Methodist Church, 117 Hercules Lane, Denton, TX, with Rev. Rob Price, officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield, NE. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Hupp is survived by daughters Alice Hupp of Denton and Victoria Hupp of Valley View; stepdaughter, Debbie Holt of Decatur; sons Mike Hupp of Valley View and Steve Hupp of Houston; sister, Mary Jo Mellick of Omaha, NE; brother, Duane Hupp of Florence, CO; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Reeves.

Sarah Jo Wells
Sarah Jo Wells, 46, of Austin, Daughter of Fred and Mary Wells of Aubrey, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. She was born on August 27, 1961 in Corpus Christi. She was a peer counselor.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Slay Memorial Funeral Center. Rosary will be said on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her parents, Fred and Mary Wells, two sisters, Karen Lemons and Loree Myers. She is also survived by one niece Alison Weaver, and nephews, Daniel Lemons, Lany Myers, and Anthony Lemons and one great-niece, Falyn Weaver.

Forrest “Sparky” Sparkman
Forrest “Sparky” Sparkman, 92 of Sanger passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Sanger. He was born February 3, 1916 in Dallas to Ples and Estelle (Coates) Sparkman. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was married to Clara Jo Eddlemon for 40 years before she preceded him in death. He was a member of the Denton V.F.W.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the DFW National Cemetery at 11 am.
Survivors include, his son, Steve and wife Carolyn Sparkman of Sanger; daughters, Stacy and husband Craig Shamhart of Sanger, and Sandy Hansen; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Megan, Steven, Sammy, and Skylar; and great-grandchildren, Stephan, Anthony, and Gabi. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.W. Sparkman, and one sister.
Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
