Julie Anna Farmer, 42, of Denton passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 31, 1966 in Denton to Bill and Maggie Lindsey. She loved her family and was a very dedicated mother to her two sons. Julie’s compassion overflowed into her work, where she was employed in the Denton area in the funeral industry, most recently at the Denton Funeral Home until her illness left her unable to work.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2009, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Denton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday, July 6, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Jackson Cemetery in Krum. Stephen Howard will officiate.

Julie is survived by her father, Bill Lindsey of Krum; her husband, Steve McDonald of Denton; two sons, William (Kerby) Kerr Lindsey and wife Holly of Krum and Collin (Woody) Laroe Farmer and his father, Hal Farmer, both of Denton; two sisters, Kebby Mitchell and husband Kent of Houston and Jamie Lee Free of Corinth; stepchildren, Taylor Farmer of Midlothian and Michael McDonald of Krum; niece, April Saxon and husband Brian of Carrollton; and nephew, Dustin Clearman of Lewisville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Austin) Lindsey.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Julie Farmer.

Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
