Thomas Dyson
Thomas Dyson, 26, of Hickory Creek, passed away Tuesday July 15, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Thomas Dyson was born November 10, 1981 in Lewisville to Terry and Gay (Newman) Dyson. He graduated from Lake Dallas High School. He served in the United States Army and worked in construction.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday July 19, 2008 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Flower Mound Cemetery, Flower Mound. Visitation will be held from
7 PM to 8 PM Friday July 18 at the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan Thomas Dyson of Hickory Creek; daughter, Zabrina Elena Dyson of Grapevine; parents, Terry Dyson and Gay Dyson of Hickory Creek; grandmother, Maxiene Dyson of Lewisville, grandmother, Frona Newman of Hickory Creek; great grandmother, Elva Pockrus of Lake Dallas; brother, WT Dyson, II of Lake Dallas.

William W. “Bill” Hopkins
William W. “Bill” Hopkins, 81, of Pampa (originally from Sanger), passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Sanger.
Bill was born on May 2, 1927 to Will and Metha (Winkelmann) Hopkins in Denton County, Texas. He married Margaret Purgason on November 28, 1947 in Denton, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2006. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, July 18, 2008, at the First Baptist Church, 708 Fifth Street, Sanger, Texas. Burial will be in Pampa, Texas.
Survivors include 3 sisters, Mildred Cogdell and Betty Bishop of Sanger, Martha Thorell of Whitesboro; sister-in-law, Bettye Gray of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son, Steven Ray Hopkins, sister, Virginia Behake, and brother, Sam Hopkins.
Clara Marie Evans
Clara Marie Evans, 89, passed away Tuesday morning July 15,2008 in Pilot Point. She was born on Nov. 24, 1918 to Frank and Mary Haverkamp Hess in Muenster. She married Frank Evans on September 4, 1940 in Muenster. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday July 17, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point.
Ms. Evans is survived by three sons: Virgil, Alvin and Edgar Evans all of Pilot Point. She is also survived by two daughters: Maurine Gross of Howe, and Carol Coffey of Pilot Point. Ms. Evans has 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Edwin Evans.

Billy Frank Hansen
Billy Frank Hansen, 57, a longtime resident of Lake Dallas, Texas, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 after a long illness. Mr. Hansen was born in Denton on February 6, 1951 to the parentage of Edward and Dorothy Hansen.
His parents; his loving wife of 19 years, Carol; and a stepson, David Wagoner, preceded him in death.
Mr. Hansen graduated from Lake Dallas High School in 1969 and attended Tarrant County Junior College. He was a member of the Lake Dallas Methodist Church for many years. He was employed by Best Locks of Dallas for almost 30 years.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the chapel of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 2 p.m. Vitas Hospice Chaplain Joel Watson will officiate.
Mr. Hansen leaves the following behind to cherish his memory, a sister, Beckie Lairson of Lake Dallas; a niece, Laura Craft of Lake Dallas; two nephews, Jason Lairson of Plano and Brian Lairson of Lake Dallas; a step-daughter, Shirley Wooten of Mesquite, Texas; six grandchildren, David, Christopher, Kimberly and Nathan Wagoner, and Thomas and Nicholas Wooten; one grandniece, Alyssa Lairson; four grandnephews; Joseph, Tyler and Rowdy Lairson, and Brandon Wright; as well as many friends.
The family expresses their sincere thanks for the many prayers, kind deeds and expressions of sympathy.

Pauline Estelle Kennemur
Decatur — Pauline Estelle Kennemur, 85, a homemaker, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Decatur. Pauline was born February 7, 1923 in Somervell County, Texas to Albert and Ruth (Neace) Cook. She married Elbert Wesley Kennemur on July 4, 1943 in Justin, Texas.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Coker-Hawkins Chapel with interment in the Justin Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Darrell Kennemer, Douglas Kennemer, Bill McDaniel, Jonathan Kennemer, Josh McDaniel and Jacob Trotter.
Survived by her sons, Wesley Kennemer and wife Lynda of Boyd, Charlie Kennemer and wife Kathie of McKinney, and Richard Kennemer of Keller; daughters, Greta McDaniel and husband Winford of Chico, and Carla McGee and husband Colby of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Jessie Dean McDonough.
Roberta June Schmidt
Roberta June Schmidt, 82, of Denton passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 in Denton. She was born October 5, 1925 in Deer Creek OK to George and Sybil Jones Kerr. She married L.J. Schmidt on February 8, 1946 in Dalhart TX. He preceded her in death in November, 2006. They lived in Dalhart until 1976 when they moved to Kerrville. They moved from Kerrville to Denton in 2005.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Coffey of Denton and Bonnie Wallace of Garfield, AR; brother, Riley Kerr of Carson City, NV; and 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Private family services will be held later.
