U'Nita Faye Sweatmon
U'Nita Faye Sweatmon, 83, of Denton, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at her home. She was born July 21, 1925 in Stanford, TX.
Arrangements are pending with the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.
Ruby “ Jo “ Johnson Morrow
Ruby “ Jo “ Johnson Morrow was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19,2008. After years of battling strokes and diabetes, she is finally free.
Jo was bourn April 20, 1954 to Jewel (Sims) and Ike Johnson in Denton, Texas. She attended Denton schools and lived and worked in Denton her entire life. On June 9, 1972, Jo married David H. Morrow of Searcy, Arkansas.
She is survived by her son, David Morrow, Jr. of Denton; three sisters, Linda McKeown and husband, David of Denton, Shirley Kraus and husband, Bob of Denton, and Daphne St. John and husband, Jimmy of Fort Worth. Numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews will dearly miss her.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; and brothers, Butch Johnson and Buddy Johnson.
A memorial service to celebrate Jo’s life will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2 p.m.
Helen Marie Quinn
Helen Marie Quinn, age 76 of Little Elm, Texas passed away on July 20, 2008 in Denton, Texas. She was born May 31, 1932 to Marie (Morgan) and Howell Henry Green in Dallas, Texas. On June 20, 1949, Helen married Robert E. Quinn in Dallas, Texas.
Helen is survived by her sons, Patrick L. Quinn of Little Elm, Texas, Michael B. Quinn and his wife, Frances of Krum, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Wyche, Cory Quinn, Jordan Ham; great-granddaughter, Alexia Marsh.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Quinn and brother, Richard Green.
A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco, Texas on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Buddy Garland officiating. A visitation will follow the service.

Owen E. Spruance, Jr.
Owen E. Spruance, Jr., 84, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, formerly of Denton, TX, passed away on July 19, 2008. He graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy (Kingspoint) in 1944 and received his US Navy commission the same year. He served in WWII and was recalled in 1951 to serve in the Korean Conflict. He resigned his commission in 1953 and resumed his career in petroleum sales.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia; daughter, Christine Glassen (Thomas) of Woodland Park, CO; son, Gil Spruance (Elaine) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren, Rebecca, Katherine, Jonathan, Kienan and Victoria; and six great-grandchildren.
A Private Memorial Service was held. He will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, McGraw Center, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216.

Daniel Michael Henry
Daniel Michael Henry, 27 (“Dan”), beloved son, brother, friend, teacher, physicist and actor has traveled his final steps of this earth and has voyaged forward to the Heavens to shine brightly in the cosmos. He was a light in our lives, a shining star who will be forever remembered in our hearts.
Dan was a UNT Physics doctoral student who took great joy in presenting his astronomy lectures to those who ventured to see beyond the required course and peer into the cosmos that was the core of Dan’s intellectual pursuits. His world also consisted of gaming, comics and being a cast member where he enjoyed playing various parts with Los Bastardos, The Dallas/Ft Worth area Shadow Cast for The RHPS.
He will be remembered for his incredible intelligence, his sense of humor and most of all, for his kindness to his fellow human beings.
Dan is the loving son of Betty (Pawul) Baxley and her husband David of Grapevine as well as a true friend and brother to David L. Henry of Watauga. He is survived by his father John Henry of Ballston Spa, NY, his aunt, Bernadette (Pawul) Boutier (Grapevine), stepbrother Micha Baxley (Roanoke) as well as his grandparents Frank and Betty Pawul and Uncles Frank, Gregory, Michael and David Pawul, all of Washington State.
His cousins Rebecca, Emily, Lauren, Mike and Frank of Washington; Bryan Smith (Arlington) and Anthony Smith (MD) as well as Rachel and Andrew (Grapevine) will all remember summers at the grandparents in Washington, laying on the grass, star gazing and wondering …
Services will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 3PM.
Dan’s life in this world was too short for us who loved him dearly, but it is long for his new journey.
Gretchen Emily Bryant Campbell
Gretchen Emily Bryant Campbell, 61, passed on to her higher place to be with her God Sunday, July 20, 2008, at a Fort Worth hospice facility.
Gretchen was born June 25, 1947, in Denton to William H. and Gretchen Hodge Bryant. She graduated from Denton High School and the University of North Texas with a degree in accounting. Her career was specialized in tax accounting and was with Payne, Todd and Sulak until her sickness with lung cancer took her from us.
Survivors include her husband, Grayford Campbell; son, Derek S. Campbell; stepsons, Ridley Campbell and Robert Campbell; father and stepmother, William H. and Jessie Bryant; many nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Memorial service pending, to be announced at a later date.
