Willie Joe Reynolds
Willie Joe Reynolds, 80, of Justin, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at
Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born July 10, 1927 in Franklin, TX to Lorenzo and Allie (Moore) Reynolds. He was married to Frances Kennemer on September 12, 1952 in Franklin. He was retired from the Northwest ISD Maintenance Department, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the Sage Meadow Christian Fellowship, 531 John Wiley Rd. Justin, with Rev. Bryan Hendricks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Justin Cemetery. The family will be at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Frances Reynolds, of Justin; daughter, Carolyn Picklesimer, of Seymour; three sons, Joe Carl Reynolds, of Cleburne, Aaron Elvis Reynolds, of Justin, and Larry Dale Reynolds, of Silver City, FL; sister Eva Everett, of Thornton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Donald Ray Williams
Donald Ray Williams, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, passed away at his home on July 21, 2007. He was born on June 17, 1937, to James and Opal Taylor Williams in Kay County Oklahoma. He married Mary Reeg Henderson on March 6, 1976.
His parents, James and Opal Williams, preceded him in death. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 31 years, eight children, Donna Permann and husband, Alan, Dee Ann Hanley and husband, Lee, Don, Jr. and wife, Michelle, Deborah, Ann, Doris and husband, Paul, step-children, Porter Wyatt Henderson, III and wife, Karen, Laura Wisdom and husband, Whip; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His brother, James and sister-in-law, Lynda Williams, his brother-in-law, Louis J. Reeg, Jr. and wife, Paula, sister-in-law, Bitsy Murchison and husband, Robert J. Murchison; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donald attended public school in Sumner, Oklahoma, where he learned to love basketball and attended Eastern Oklahoma A & M College on a basketball scholarship. After graduating from Eastern Oklahoma A & M College, Dr. Williams graduated from Oklahoma State with a Ph.D. in Statistics. He served on the faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington, Oklahoma State University and the University of North Texas. At UNT he founded and served as the director of the Center for Quality and Productivity.
Donald R. Williams served as a process improvement consultant to numerous organizations and was certified as a Quality Engineer by the American Society for Quality Control. He founded Process Improvement Consultants, a management consulting firm specializing in assisting clients in the continuous improvement of their processes, products, and services. He served as a senior consultant with Process Management International, a Deming-based, International Management Consulting firm. Research papers by Dr. Williams have appeared in several leading professional journals. He wrote five textbooks in mathematics and statistics: three as author and two as co-author.
Dr. Williams worked for various aviation corporations as well as with NASA programs. He also worked with North American Aviation programs related to the Minuteman Missile.
As a member of the Dallas section of ASQ, Dr. Williams served on various committees and became a fellow of the American Society for Quality in 1998. He was a member of IEEE Consultants Network (Dallas Chapter), Southwestern Federation of Administrative Disciplines, and the Decision Sciences Institute, and ASQ Electronics Division.
As a member and Vice President of the Denton Christian Preschool board, Dr. Williams also participated as an active volunteer for over 25 years. He was a member of the ARC and he and his family were honored with being selected to receive the Family of the Year award in 1990. Dr. Williams was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints where he served as a teacher in Primary, in the Bishopric, on the High Council, and Stake Executive Secretary for 15 years. He served as an ordinance worker at the Dallas Temple for 25 years.
Cheryl Diane Robinson Brown
Cheryl Diane Robinson Brown, born in Houston on June 7, 1955, passed away at her home in Lake Dallas on Monday, July 16, 2007.
She is survived by many people who loved and adored her. Rest in peace our sweet, gentle Angel – you will be missed.
Cheryl generously donated her body to Southwestern Medical Center. Her spirit will remain in our hearts always.
Memorial services were held in Dallas on July 20, 2007.
Brittany Anne Long
Brittany Anne Long, 17, of Sanger died in Sanger on Monday, July 23, 2007. She was born November 6, 1989 to David and Rebecca (Becky) Long in Glendale, CA. Brittany worked at McAlister’s Deli in Denton. She was a member of Team Golden Triangle Gymnastics. She loved watching and cheering on her little brother’s hockey team.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Sanger on Friday, July 27 at 2:00PM. Dr. E. L. Skip McNeal will officiate.
Brittany is survived by her parents; brother, Josh Long; grandparents, Charles and Jean Long of Limerick, Pennsylvania; and numerous other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral and Cremation Services.
John Elbert Yount
John Elbert Yount, 60, of Argyle, Texas died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born August 7, 1946 in Harriman, TN to Rev. Hubert R. and Ruby Smitherman Yount. He married Janet Elaine Lewis on September 7, 1967 in Waco, Texas. He graduated from U.N.T., was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and a State Farm Insurance agent.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 27, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church of Denton, Texas, Rev. Steve Plunkett officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Todd Lewis, Jason Cole, Brad Pharr, Robert Berry, Larry Lenamon and Travis Lipscomb IV.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet Yount of Argyle; daughters, Katherine Yount of Euless, Texas, Joanne Wisdom and husband, John of Point, Texas; sisters, Billye Raye and husband, Travis (Chaddy) Lipscomb of Lufkin, Texas, Camille and husband, Don Cawley of Port Neches, Texas, Dawn and husband, David Ellis of Hunnington, Texas; brother, David Yount of Grace ID. He is preceded in death by sisters, Melody Yount, Kathleen Yount Lenamon; nephew, Andrew Kyle Ellis and parents, Rev. Hubert and Ruby Yount.
