Elizabeth “Beth” W. Bartee

Elizabeth “Beth” W. Bartee, 90, of Denton passed away Monday, July 27, 2009, at Denton Good Samaritan Village. She was born April 3, 1919 in Boyd to S.F. and Leona Brown Wren. She was married to Herbert B. Bartee. He preceded her in death. She graduated from North Texas State Teacher College with a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 10 a.m. at DeBerry Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Harral of Denton; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Bartee of New Orleans; son, Wren and wife Gerti Bartee of Denton; brothers, Bill Wren of Hurst and Bob Wren of Grapevine; grandchildren, Christiane Soto of Denton, Eric Harral of Denton, Jennifer Bartee of Aubrey, Jason Harral of Denton, Kate Harral of Denton, Laura Bartee of Euless and James Bartee of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Taylor S., Sydney, Ryan, Kayla, Courtney, Taylor R., Ethan and Evan. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Bartee; sons, Jim Bartee and Dan Bartee; son-in-law, Eldon Harral; sister, Frances Bullard; and brothers, Bud Wren and Floyd Wren.

Former Marine Corporal Jonathan Leon, 28, of Justin, passed away on July 19th, 2009. He’s survived by his loving wife, children, parents, brother, sister and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

The Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 29th at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, TX 76501, between 6-8 p.m. The Service will be Thursday, July 30th at Gateway Church, 2121 E. Southlake Blvd., Southlake, Texas, at 11 a.m.

Mary L. Reynolds

Mary L. Reynolds passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Detnon Regional Hospital. Visitation for Ms. Reynolds will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009, from 7-8 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Peaceful Rest Baptist church. Interment will immediately follow funeral services in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother, Leon and Zollie Locklin.

She is survived by her son, Adonis Johnson; one sister, Barbara and husband Jimmy Hudson; her grandmother, Eunice Jackson; two uncles, George Locklin and Lafayette and wife Zida Jackson; two aunts, Pat and Georgia Locklin; and three best friends, Yolanda Bell, Roderick Jones and Jamette Jackson.
