RHOME, TEXAS — James W. Hicks, 53, of Rhome, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Houston.

James was born on March 4, 1957 to George and Martha Borchardt Hicks in Ft. Worth, Texas. He married Cindy Crapanzano on Oct. 6, 1982 in Texas.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home in Justin. Burial will follow in the Aurora Cemetery near Rhome. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.

James was an Army veteran and worked as a general manager for Swing Stage Corp. in Dallas. He was employed there for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Rhome, and one son Samuel Taylor Hicks of Rhome; two brothers, Robert Hicks of Decatur and Joe Hicks of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Juanita Weaver of Waco and Alice Hines of Watauga and several nieces and nephews. James is also survived by his mother-in-law May Pearl Crapanzano of Kemp and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Frances Marie Stone.

Lucas Funeral Home in Justin is handling the arrangements.

 

 

Robert “Bob” Boliver

Robert “Bob” Boliver, 90, of Lake Dallas passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 at Longmeadow Health Care in Justin.

He was born Aug. 21, 1918 in Hale Center, Texas to George and Mollie Fort Boliver. He married Clara Waldine Miller on March 11, 1939 in Abernathy, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2003. He was a self employed truck driver and rancher.

Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.Burial will follow at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.

He is survived by his daughters, Clara McNeil of Lake Dallas, Mary Porter of Rincon GA, Terry Bartel of Lake Dallas; sons, Robert Boliver of Krum, Jim Boliver of Bastrop, Dale Boliver of Corsicana, Danny Boliver of Clovis NM; sisters, Dean Barnes of Bowie and Elizabeth Petty of Highland Village; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
