Carl E. Green Jr.

Carl E. Green Jr., 66 of Denton passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Cottonwood Manor Nursing Home in Denton. He was born on August 22, 1942 in Tuscola, IL to Carl and Anna Green. He served in the United States Army for two years.

A visitation will be held from 7-8 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Funeral services will be at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Slidell Cemetery.

Survivors include his brother, Danny E. Green and wife Gail of Sanger; sisters, Anna Sturdevant of Gordonville, TX, and Linda Marie and husband Dale King of Tucson, AZ; nieces, Tracye Crockett, Christina Hoyer, Dawn Anderson, Beth Terry, Athenia Green, Roxanne Kupper, Danni Green, and Laura Freeman; great-nephews, Memphis and Errol Green; and great-nieces, Kileigh Freeman, Kinlee Kupper, and Cassie Zawslak.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

 

 

 

Dorothy Lewis

Dorothy Lewis, 79, of Denton passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born February 2, 1930 in Dallas to Walter Lee Burrows and Willie Wade Chapman. She married Marvin “Cleo” Lewis in 1968 in Lewisville. He preceded her in death. She was the Chaplain for American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 6 – 8 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Friday, August 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Waxahachie Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Jones Ferchaud of Justin; son, Michael Dean Mensendick of Rowlett; grandchildren, Clifford Stephen Johnson of Justin, Erica Nicole Mensendick of Rowlett, Erin Michelle Coonrod of Forney, Elisha Lynn Alexander of Royse City and 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 9652, Fort Worth, Texas 76147.

Pat Cramer

Pat Cramer, 76, of Denton passed away in Jacksonville, FL on August 17, 2009. She was born in Del Rio, TX.

A private memorial was held on the day of her death by her family.

Pat retired from Westgate Hospital, Medical Records administration. She was a member of Ariel Club in Denton.

Survivors include: her son David Cramer and family in Denton; daughters Denise Carraway and family, Jacksonville, FL, Julie Conoscenti and family of Wilson, N.C.; and granddaughter Laura Pittman and family of McKinney, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ariel Club at 2017 Holly Hill, Denton, TX 76205.
