Ronald Edward Chapman

Ronald Edward Chapman of East Tawas, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday night, October 15, 2009 at his son’s home in Aubrey, Texas. Ron Chapman was 68 years old and passed on after a short but bitter battle with lung cancer.

Dad was born April 4, 1941 to Edith (Schman) and Thomas Chapman in Flint Michigan. Norma, Tommy, Robert and Joyce Chapman were all proud to call him their little brother. Ron graduated High School in Flint and went into manufacturing of awnings and other sheet metal works. Dad made eleven yearly trips to Texas to spend the fall, winter, and spring with his son.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Crestwood Cemetery Chapel in Flint Michigan on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Burial will follow the services.  Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, 901 Garland, Flint Michigan in charge in Michigan.

Mr. Chapman is survived by son and daughter in law, Ronald W. and Mary C. Chapman, and two grandchildren;  Brian Edward and Chrystal Marie Chapman, all of Aubrey, Texas,  Brother Thomas Chapman and sister Joyce Coron, both of Flint, Michigan.  Dad, you are dearly loved and we will miss you so much.

Summer Lynn Flaa

Summer Lynn Flaa, 22, of Denton passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 in Greenville, Texas.  She was born July 14, 1987 in Grand Forks, ND to Paul Allen Flaa and Melody Lynn Melbostad-Flaa.  Summer graduated from Denton High School.  She was employed at the University of North Texas as a secretary.

There will be a memorial visitation from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with a time of sharing during the visitation.  The family asks for memorials to be made to the Flaa Family.

Summer is survived by a son Izaya Allen Flaa, her parents, Paul and Melody Flaa, sister Autumn Flaa all of Denton, brother Christopher Flaa of Phoenix AZ, grandparents, Shirley Melbostad of Grand Forks, ND and Frank & Jeannine Flaa of East Grand Forks, MN and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in recovery.
