William Thompson

William M. Thomson, 77, of Denton passed away on

October 14, 2009 at his home.

William was a property manager and served in the Air Force and Marines.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nell and his brother, Arthur.

He is survived by his wife Ann Thompson of Denton, grandson Derek of Hickory Creek and his daughter Linda.

 

June Gayle Arellano

June Gayle Arellano, 71, of Denton, TXpassed away on Saturday,

October 31, 2009 in Burien, Washington.Arrangements are pending with the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.

Dennis “PawPaw” Frank Jarrell, 62, of Denton passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Texarkana, AR.

He was born September 18, 1947 in Dallas to Frank and Josephine Murphrey Jarrell.He was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6 – 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors.Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 3 pm in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.Graveside service will be November 10, 2009 at 2 pm. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, TN.

He is survived by his sons, Eric Jarrell and Bryan Jarrell, both of Krum; step-daughter, Deeann Poole of TN; mother, Josephine Jarrell of Ponder; sisters, Rosie Davis of Flower Mound, Patricia Neal of Lewisville, Shirley Parker of Aubrey, Judy Kay Jarrell of Krum; and 3 grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his father and wife.

Rev. John R. Stout, 60, of Denton went to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his home.

He was born March 25, 1949 in Denton to Ray D. and Dorotha (Dottie) J. Stout. He was the Pastor Emeritus of Friendship Church. He was married to Jacqueline Peter on June 20, 1970 inDenton.He was a graduate of Denton Public Schools and the University of North Texas and Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Friendship Church, 3815 W. University Dr., Denton, with Msgr. Charles King officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 – 8 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, 6100 Colwell Blvd. Ste #225, Irving, TX 75039.

Rev. Stout is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Peter Stout; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Danny Helms; sister, Renea Gaines, and one grandchild, Jalyn Helm, all of Denton; a nephew and niece, Jason and Rebecca Bowers.

 Theron Palmer, Sr.

Theron Palmer, Sr., a longtime resident of Salado and Austin, died in Denton, TX on October 31, 2009 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Violet Palmer, his son and daughter, Theron, Jr. and Elida Tamez, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and David. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura.

Theron was well known from coast to coat in the publishing world, and was an enthusiastic collector of modern American fiction, an avocation he persued until his health failed. A short viewing and remembrance will take place on Tuesday, November 3 at Broeker Funeral Home in Salado with a private burial at Salado Cemetery.

Joyce Adamietz became absent of her body and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the age of 80.

If you wish to join along with the family to celebrate the life of Joyce, you may do so at any of the following gatherings. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday,

November 5, 2009 at Justin First Baptist Church, and a service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the chapel of the Mausoleum at Mission Park North Cemetery, San Antonio. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2009 at J.E. Foust Funeral Home, Grapevine, TX

Joyce was born Jan. 15, 1929, in San Antonio. She was a homemaker who throughout her life enjoyed traveling, dancing and playing games. But her greatest joy came from simply being with her family and friends that she made while in San Antonio, Bandera and Justin.

She was preceded in death by her children, Carroll Wayne Basham and Pamela Jeanne Basham; husbands, Carroll D. Basham and Henry R. Adamietz; her parents, Hugh and Pearl Harper; brothers, Harry and Eugene Harper; and sister, Wanda Harper Watson.

 Survivors include, her daughter, Terri Basham Hudson and son-in-law, Jim Hudson, of Roanoke; granddaughter, Chelsea Hudson-Lewis and husband, Matthew Lewis, of Keller; grandson, Chase S. Hudson of Roanoke; her nephews, Perry Watson of Katy and Ronnie Watson of Corpus Christi; and all the family members of her beloved Henry Adamietz of Bandera. Services are under the direction of J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors Grapevine, 817-481-2525.

 

 

D.L. Faught

D.L. Faught

D.L. Faught, 87, of Denton, passed away Saturday October 31, 2009 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.

Mr. Faught was born on September 26, 1922 at home in Argyle to A.G. and Annie (Adams) Faught. He was married to Frances McCormick on September 1, 1946 at the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods in Denton. He was retired from the Soil Conservation Service after thirty years designing dams, watersheds and working with local farmers; he also worked as a design engineer for Freese and Nichols of Fort Worth for five years. He was a deacon for over forty years and taught Sunday School for over sixty years. He was past Worshipful Master for the Denton Masonic Lodge for two terms and held lifetime membership conferred in 1998 after fifty years of Masonic service. He was past president and member of the Denton Lions Club for over twenty years.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday November 4, 2009 at Highland Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Schafer will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Argyle. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the funeral home.

 He is survived by his wife, Frances Faught of Denton; daughters, Diane Faught Harlow ofGarland, Janet Faught VonRoeder of Fort Worth; sister, Anna Faught Sandstrum of Denton; grandchildren, Jessica VonRoeder, Michael VonRoeder, Kim Faught, Alexa Harlow Griffith; great grandchildren, Makayla Achuff, Jessica Griffith, Ian Griffith, Jack Griffith, Micah Griffith; seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Faught; brothers, James A. Faught, Edwin L. Faught, T.B. Faught; sister, Merle Faught Smith.

 Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
